The Kozinski family story is nothing short of extraordinary, as they’ve been blessed with not one, but three sets of twins born on the same day—February 28th!
The journey began in 2013 when Kerry and Craig, who struggled with fertility, decided to adopt. A friend of theirs reached out with the news that she was pregnant and asked if they would consider adopting her child. To their surprise, the woman was expecting twins! Kerry and Craig gladly welcomed their first set of daughters, Adalyn and Kenna, into the family on February 28, 2014.
But the surprises didn’t stop there! A year later, the same woman reached out again, this time to inform the Kozinskis that she could no longer care for her twin sons, Jay-Jay and C-C, born on February 28, 2013. Once again, the couple happily agreed to adopt them, and their family grew even more.
In 2016, Kerry was able to become pregnant with the help of artificial insemination. And once again, it was twins—Clarissa and Caralline—born on February 28th! Kerry laughs at the frequent question of whether the twins’ birth on this particular day was intentional. “I didn’t plan it,” she says. “Believe me, I didn’t plan to give birth to them prematurely at 24 weeks!” But fate seemed to have a hand in it, as all the twins were born on the same special date.
Now, Kerry and Craig are focused on finalizing the adoption process for all of their children. “We simply won’t survive if we lose them,” Kerry says, speaking of the deep connection they feel with all of their children. “They’re already ours, and it feels like fate brought them to us.”
While the couple’s family is already filled with love, they still hope to expand it further. Craig, in particular, is eager to have more children, especially since they already have five girls and only one boy!
This heartwarming tale of love, fate, and family shows that sometimes, miracles come in pairs—and occasionally, triples! If the Kozinskis have more children in the future, who knows? Maybe we’ll see another set of twins born on February 28th!
